Privacy policy

Piranis Photos is a private family photo library. This page explains the information used when you request and use an account.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Google sends the library your account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture. The library uses this information to identify your account, process your access request, and show your name to people you share with. It does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Photos.

Photos and activity

Approved members can view only the photos and folders the administrator shares with them. The service stores account settings, sharing choices, and routine access and security logs needed to run and protect the library. Photos you upload or share may be visible to the people you choose within the library.

Where information goes

The gallery runs on a privately managed server using Nextcloud. Cloudflare carries traffic between your device and that server. Google provides sign-in. We do not sell account information or use it for advertising.

Cookies and retention

The gallery uses cookies required for sign-in, sessions, and security. Account information is kept while your account is active. You can ask the administrator to remove your access and account; routine logs and backups may take additional time to expire.

Contact

For access, correction, or deletion requests, contact the family member who invited you and ask them to pass your request to the library administrator. Approved members can also contact the administrator through the library.
